• Body: The main housing of the valve, which connects to the pipeline.
• Plug: A cylindrical or conical rotating component with a hole bored through it. A quarter-turn of the plug aligns or misaligns the hole with the pipeline to control flow.
• Lubricant Injection Fitting: Located at the top of the plug, this is where the sealant is injected under pressure.
• Lubricant Channels: The sealant is delivered from the injection fitting, down the plug's central cavity, and out through radial holes to grooves on the plug's surface.
• Lubricant Grooves: These grooves on the plug's surface help distribute the sealant between the plug and the body, reducing friction and ensuring a bubble-tight seal.
• Check Valve: Positioned below the injection fitting, this prevents the sealant from flowing back up once injected.
• Lubricant Chamber: A chamber at the bottom of the plug holds the sealant.
